11 McNair Students Placed in the Top 10 at The 2025 NJ FBLA State Leadership Conference

McNair FBLA at the 2025 NJ FBLA State Leadership Conference

During McNair Academic’s second year at the NJ FBLA State Leadership Conference, 11 McNair students placed in the Top 10 in the entire state in their respective competitions:

Prisha Malhotra – Public Speaking
Natasha Titus – Introduction to Business Communication
Janet Pauljayakumar – Business Management
Vallabh Suresh & Ameya Satrasala – Entrepreneurship
Aashirya Varma, Anshika Kumar, & Aastha Tiwari – Introduction to Event Planning
Rachel Mokoko – Personal Finance
Gwenyth Friedman – Introduction to Business Procedures
Shivank Dash – Introduction to FBLA


Of these students, three McNair competitors qualified for Nationals:

Prisha Malhotra – 2nd place in NJ for Public Speaking
Natasha Titus – 2nd place in NJ for Introduction to Business Communication
Janet Pauljayakumar – 4th place in NJ for Business Management (top 4 qualify for Nationals)
Additionally, Prisha Malhotra won a $1,000 college scholarship for placing 1st in NJ in the Unlock the Potential competition.

Aashirya Varma, Aditi Pillai, Isha Patil, Maximillian Hu, Misheeta Thakral, Rohan Garg, Rudra Prajapati, and Shveni Sunilkumar won the FBLA Business Achievement Awards for their independent work on Business and Finance. In addition, as a chapter, McNair FBLA won the Gold Seal Award for being a model FBLA Chapter in the state and the Membership Achievement Award for significantly expanding our chapter size—nearly doubling in size from the previous year.
